Course Narrative
In JAPN 403 we began the process of creating our capstones. During this course we read a book called The Craft of Research explaining the best way to research. The book gave many tips on how to craft a research question as well as the different ways in which to write the research paper based on the potential audience. Students then led presentational discussions on different chapters of the book. I learned that the process of doing research does not have a clear path and may change throughout the process. During this course we also created our research topics, research questions, and survey question for our Capstone projects. This course has also helped me in my other course research work, such as JAPN 311's research paper. I hope to take the skills of research that I have learned with me in the future and any projects that I may have, especially when attending graduate school.
