MLO Reflective Narrative:
In SPAN 308 we explored the history and culture of the Aztlan people using the book Mexicanos, written by Manuel Gonzales. Through this course I gained an understanding in how Central America was colonized and how the indigenous people and colonizers interacted. The course expanded my knowledge of how the history of colonization affected and influenced the Chicano culture. This class fit completed MLO 3 as it taught me about the culture of another country besides Japan, as well as made me think through different a different lens and perspective of history and a people.
