Course Narrative
In WLC 300 we learned about the major learning outcomes for the Japanese Language and Culture major. We explored options for studying abroad and post graduation by talking to CSUMB alumni who have continued their education in graduate school, the Japanese Exchange Teaching (JET) Program, and other occupational opportunities. In this course I have create my eportfolio as well as my resume and personal statement that can be found on the home page. This course has solidified my interest in applying to the JET Program as well as learned about CSUMB's credential program. I had not previously considered obtaining a teaching credential, however I found it an interesting path to look into should I decide to become a teacher. Overall, this course has improved my understanding of the major and what is required of me in order to obtain my B.A.
